The grass waved in the wind, and there came a distinct smell and sound... A shift in the air as something approached. Wide eyes hardly blinked as the creature approached. The grass split off to opposite sides as it weaved through the sea of yellow blades. There was a light that bounced off something shiny and soon, it burst out of hiding, teeth bared.
It was a cat Pokemon, pale tan fur cropped short. Its whiskers twitched uncertainly as it inspected Darian and his entourage. Warily, she sat down with white teeth still showing, daring him to get any closer. There was a fresh smell of blood on her fur, and it was easy enough to see that she was injured. Long claw marks, most likely from the native Sneasel Warriors, etched across the Meowth's body. She had been a higher level than even their leader, but there had been too many of them. The image of the dark blue, almost black females moving in on her in an attempt to take her coin haunted her. They usually only preyed on male Pokemon, but Meowths were prized among their ranks. So even a female could not escape their claws.
"...Are... are... are you... a trainer?" The cat asked, her voice wavering as she attempted to form the words. She was a talking Meowth - quite common on the island, as Team Noir had made sure to try perfecting that art. So far, the cats had been the most successful.
Quite frankly, she'd been through more than the average Pokemon should have to go through at still such a low level.
She seemed somewhat distant, her eyes a little foggy as she tried to focus on him and his two Pokemon, but she couldn't help from letting her eyes stray about. Something about her said she was somewhat... touchy. Humans were not her favorite creatures.

Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bite

The Meowth watched his every move, as if wondering when he was going to attack her. She narrowed her eyes as he made more moves, backing up silently. Why had she come here in the first place? There was nothing this human could do... for a moment, it seemed she was dazed and confused from lack of blood, and then scared as well. Why was he approaching again? He was too close. She was too close. Nothing made sense, so in her confusion she lashed out with a scratch attack at his hand, mouth open wide as she let out a faint, worried cry. She hadn't meant to attack the boy... but it had just been so scary... A gurgling sound came out of her mouth. "Ah... uh... stay away..." She backed up again and crouched in the grass, flattening her ears in defensive mode. He was a scientist, wasn't he? They always wanted to test on Shiny Pokemon. It wasn't her fault she had pretty purplish pink paws... And being slightly more tan than usual... She was prettier than the average meowth, and probably would have been a beauty if not for the scars all over her body. The Meowth glanced at the Eevee now, a pure worried look coming across her face. The Ponyta was also quite big... Even though they were both lower levels, it was only by one. The thought of the sneasels made her hiss in fear.
This was going out of control...

The Meowth flattened her ears tighter against her head as the tail whip took its toll. She closed her eyes for a moment, looking frightened and pained, then her eyelids shot up and her eyes glared at the eevee fiercely. Even the attempt at an attack had angered her and she shot forwards to scratch at the enemy Pokemon. She was still dazed and didn't quite understand what was happening, but as soon as she recognized an attack, she felt it was time to fight. After she used her attack, she hopped back to where she had originally been hiding, then paced off to the side, snarling in an attempt to look fierce despite her battered figure. Her pink paws were dirty and looked normal-colored through the mud that coated them.
"Humans... can't be nice..." She spat, casting a worried glance at Marial. The eevee, being territorial of his trainer, was her big concern, and she wasn't too excited to be in the area. But she couldn't run away, being hurt like this, so all she could do was fight. Her whiskers twitched as she stood there uncomfortably, so she couldn't help but pace back and forth in a defensive stance, awaiting the brown Pokemon's next move. Instantly expecting that there was going to be one.

The Meowth watched carefully, and then the Eevee made his move to attack. She crouched down, getting ready to dodge the attack when she felt her legs give and the feline collapsed. The cat's eyes widened in horror as the brown fox got closer and closer and then she felt the pain come through her as he knocked her over. She went rolling back a little, and then laid there, still for a moment. It gave the impression that she had fainted. But that was not the case yet, and she tried to get back to her feet, shaking the entire time. Just when the Meowth got on all fours, her legs gave again and she fell once more. This time it was too hard to get up, though she still had a teensy bit of health left. The Eevee pinned her down, and there wasn't much more that she could do.
"How... could I trust any of you?" She spat, her face in the dirt. "All my life you stupid humans have... taken control of me! Done tests!" The shiny Meowth turned her face a little more so that it was easier to yell at them. "And why would your little pets be any different?"
Her eyes were filled with venom as she glared at the Eevee.
